We’re searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team and help take our customer-focused services to new heights.
You'll be responsible for creating simplified user content, including technical manuals, training guides, journal articles, tutorials, and software documentation.
With subject matter experts to guide you through the entire process, you'll make complex information accessible to employees and the target audience.
Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organisational standards
Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
Create refine content, visuals and diagrams for technical support content
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success
Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
Indulge in user research for feedback, revisions, and improvement in technical content.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
Create and maintain the information architecture.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering prepares candidates. If the employee has a degree in a non-technical field such as Journalism, English, or Communications, they must have technical and scientific knowledge and training.
Technical writing certifications or training from other institutions should reflect the competency and professionalism of the candidate.
Must possess diverse knowledge of complex technical subjects and fields to understand technical information before making it easier for others.
Must possess excellent written communication skills to deliver solutions as per users' needs within the technical framework.
A year of industry experience as an effective technical writer
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
